Accessed by climbing 140 steps carved into the rock, the Holy Trinity Monastery is famous for its appearance in the James Bond film ’For Your Eyes Only.’ It offers some of the most dramatic views in Meteora.
One of the most accessible monasteries, St. Stephen’s was heavily bombed during WWII but has since been renovated. It is presently a functioning nunnery with a small museum.
